Okay, so I'm a huge Star Wars nerd. I admit it whole-heartedly. I wish I was a Jedi. Or a Sith. I have a poster in my room of all the movie characters from both trilogies, and I had two KOTOR comics in my locker throught the year. I spent hours laughing manically, while force grabbing random people on Force Unleashed and throwing them off of things [Who didn't?]. So yes, I'm a huge Star Wars Fan. The reason I bring this up is because I am confused.

Before I start my question, I believe Revan was a female. She's just too....devious and persuasive to be male, in my opinion. But I digress.

So, here's my question: Did Revan have another name before she was the Dark Lord of the Sith? I mean, Vader was Anikin before he was Vader, Traya was Kreia. Malak was Aleck or something, so what about Revan? I mean, even for Star Wars, naming your kid Revan is just bizzare. It's setting them up for diaster. So, was Revan always Revan? Or was it just to inspire fear into the hearts of her enemies. [CUE DRAMATIC MUSIC!]

Anyway, onto other rants about Star Wars. The Jedi. We all love and/or hate them. I have found serious flaws with their system, or the semi-original one, anyway. The KOTOR era, to be precise. For one thing, if Jedi are supposed to be kind and compassionate, why are they forbiddan emotion? Why are they forbiddan to love. To quote Jolee Bindo [badly], love doesn't lead to the dark side. Love can lead to passion, which can lead to the Dark Side, but if you can control that passion, love can save you. For example, Atton's love for the Exile and for the Jedi woman he killed saved him, put him on the road to redemption.

Before you say 'Yeah, what about Vader', he was also lusting for power. He wanted to be able save his wife and child[ren], yes, but he wanted more than that. He craved battle and power, and that was his fatal flaw, the flaw that led him down the path to the Dark Side.

A different point of interest: their prisoner policy. They don't kill their prisoners, but isn't erasing their memories worse? Think about it; for Revan it really didn't do any good. She ended up getting screwed over in the end. She stayed on the path for the light this time, but really, did she ever leave to begin with? Yes, she betrayed the council and fought against Jedi and became the Lord of the Sith, but we never saw her without her mask, except in that scene in the game when she was taking it off. And her face was PERFECT then. It didn't show any signs of the dark side. At all. So, maybe she never actually left the path of the light.

That's all I can think up of at the moment.
