Drum Corps Confessions 2011

1) I don't think the Cadets should have won, honestly. I mean, they just didn't have the big drum corps sound that you'd expect from the champions, y'know?
2) THE CAVIES SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME WHEN THEY STARTED FLIPPING PEOPLE UPSIDE DOWN. Also, I didn't think that it added much to the show. I don't typically like their gimmicks in general.
3) I actually really loved the Blue Devils this year. I'm listening to their rendition of 'I Say A Little Prayer' right now. It's freaking awesome.
4) The Scouts made me cry. I loved them and their show. And it helps that I knew two people in that corp, I think.
5) I adore the Crossmen. Every year. CROSSMEN.
6) The only lyrics I know from 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' from Les Mis are the ones I can make out from the Boston Crusaders' 'REVOLUTION'.
7) Because of the afore mentioned show, I really want to audition for the Crusaders.
8) I also want to march with the Crossmen. CROSSMEN.
9) I love the Crossmen. A lot.
10) Rach Star made me smile. And I already had respect for Carolina Crown, since they donated instruments and uniforms to a band in Virginia that lost a bunch of stuff in a trailer fire.
11) MADISON SCOUTS: Y U NO ALLOW GIRLS?
12) Jk. I know why they don't accept girls. I'll just be like Mulan and dress up like a boy, 'kay?
13) I love Phantom, but they need to stop killing people off. They're starting to get a reputation for that.

MADISON SCOUTS' 2011 SHOW SHOULD BE BEING BROADCASTED ON EVERY AMERICAN TELEVISION TODAY.
Particulary 'Empire State of Mind'. Which they should have the audio-video sync rights for. Beyo that, they should get a handwriten thank-you letter from Alicia Keys and whoever else originally did that song. Because the Scouts made it into just about the most heartwarming 9/11 tribute EVER.
